Will shocked wheat Leslie took load straw to town. Newton & Laura called up here for a {list} to get for me before going to town. All the men worked at mixed grain in the back field all afternoon. I made jelly (apple) to-day & cucumber pickles. === Wednesday, August 21 === Weather - fair - warmer men finished cutting mix grain to-night. Norman raked hay in afternoon Les took 2 loads straw to city. {Jr} Institute picnic at Stouffville, but to busy to go.
