July, 1926 31 Saturday. Very warm day. Walter helped Earl Miller this morning. Vernon & Aubrey finished hoeing the turnips. Colon came up here this afternoon and Edith, Roy, Louis and Sunny went home with him after supper. Sam {Umbraeh?} was here for supper. This afternoon we had a hilarious change when the chickens ran away with Louis' comfort & diddles as she calls it. Ezra Miller was operated on for appendicitis at the Fergus Hospital.
