August, 1926 23 Monday. Thunderstorms and heavy rains this p.m. Sultry and threatening this morning. Walter took a load of grist to Floradale and got the horses shod. This afternoon he was gadding. 24 Thursday. Fair and cooler. Vernon & Ella did the washing this a.m. Walter got some bricks for the chimney at his Dad's. This afternoon Walter & Ella went to Kitchener Callers - Geo Bolender Peter Roos, Charles Miller, Fred Forwell, Enoch, Irvin & Eva Snider 25 Wednesday. Lovely day. The men tried to cut grain but the ground is too soft. Ella & Ella Miller were at a quilting at Sim Weaver's this afternoon and the men came up for them tonight
