January 1927. 1 Saturday. Fine and very cold. We had New Year’s dinner here and the following company: Mr. & Mrs. Sim Weaver, Mr. & Mrs. Lincoln Weaver, Willard, Mildred, Doris, and Howard, and Aubrey Lawson. Walter took Mr. Bergman’s meat to Floradale this morning. 2 Sunday. Changeable weather. We drove to church & S.School [Sunday School?] with Enoch in the sleigh. 3 Monday. Fair and not very cold. Ella did the washing, and Vernon was drawing manure. Walter went to Floradale to vote this afternoon. The old council were elected up: Alex Forbes; reeve; N. Snider, deputy reeve; W. Weitch, Almond Snider, and W. Hemmerich, councillors. Callers today: Jno. Stange, Addison Reist, Noah Miller and Esther, and Ruth Miller.
