February, 1926 27 Saturday Clear and very cold. Walter left after breakfast and took a load of grist to Floradale but they had a breakdown there so he had to go to Elmira with it. The snowbanks around the building here are higher than they've ever been since we moved here. This p.m. Vernon shovelled away some snow and dug some horse-radish and it sure tasted good for supper. 28 Sunday Not quite so cold. Snowflurries. We went to Woolwich church and S.School where Mr. Lee of Toronto gave us a good Temperance address. Mr & Mrs. Allen Wagner and children, Beatrice and Mabel were here for dinner.
