Fine day warmer I finished polishing up wood work in kitchen and cleaned some in cellar. most done there but cellar kitchen. Thur Apr 4. A heavy hail storm about 7:30. hail like marbles and ground covered white for an hour or so. I went to Toronto in afternoon for watch $4.00. heavy rain about 9.A.M Fri Apr 5. Warm and sultry, a terrific rain between five and six then a heavy storm thunder and lightning about eight and continued most of night. water in cellar again and sidewalk all washed out. terrific floods and havoc every place. Lizzie and girls at Annies, she is at Boyles for Bridge. Sat Apr 6. Warm and sultry no need of furnace but keep it going to dry cellar. Lizzie went home in the evening and Annie came here. Very warm and sultry, I went to church, a heavy storm about 4.P.M. and another at 7.30 P.M. a terrible downfall of rain again. Agnes and Marguerite and miss Lindsay also {Illegible}. George and Nan for tea. so hot no need of fire but cellar is damp so keep it low.
