I was in Toronto lunch at Simpsons, and at Hipp.- in at Miss Edeys in eve. Thur May 9. Fine bright and quite cool. Mr Spick died. Some seeding this week. Planted peas. Fri May 10. Fine bright and warmer. I went to Annies at night. Sat may 11. Showery about noon then clear untill eight P.M. a heavy storm and another about midnight. everything soaked again it has been very backward for farmers. Annies Recital at 3 P.M. Lizzie and children remained. Sun May 12. Fine but dull and threatening warmer. I was at church Mrs Mason passed away, Mrs Davidson and I for a walk I went to evening church. A. {Possibly refering to Annie} here for one night. Mon May 13. Fine but quite cool, cut grass. Tue May 14. Started to rain at noon and poured all afternoon. cleaned about seven, I went to Mrs Masons' funeral. Annie and I went with E. Francis, and A, remained. I had two crusaders for tea, and went to Service. Wed May 15. Fair and clearing, cooler. Thur May 16. Fine Ice but a terrific wind. Mrs Davidson and I in Toronto she got silk for a dress, we went to shower for Marion. Fri May 17. Fine bright and warmer. Cutting and trimming grass all day. great growth of grass, but land very wet and soggy. Mrs Noble called. Annie here at night. Sat May 18. Fine bright and quite warm. Varnished some chairs up at Mr Wiltshires for Lettuce. Started to rain at 9. P.M.
