A fall of light snow then clearing and milder. a great debth of snow. "Christmas" like olden days. Wylie, Lizzie and children at Annies. Willies had their gathering at home. Thur Dec 26. Fine and quite mild. girls at Annies. Fri Dec 27. Fine and very mild. I went to Toronto. changed some articles. C: {seath?} 2 yrs: water in cellar in pipes from cistern frozen at {loudside?}. the city more blocked with snow than here. Sat Dec 28. Fair and very mild. scraped road with big snow plough. Annie, Lizzie and children also Lorraine for tea. Sun Dec 29. A fall of light snow clearing about ten I went to church. The United Church had new Organ and {Pulpit?} dedicated. I went in the evening, very mild. Mon Dec 30. Fair and quite mild. I called at Mrs Smellies in eve. Lizzie and family still at Annies. Tue Dec 31. Fine and very mild and slushy, but pleasant. Lizzie went home in the afternoon. Doctor Johns much worse. roasted chicken about 2 hours and just in about an hour next day to warm. no fire in little stove over a week. End of year 1929.
