Fixed up log barn doors cleaned rat pig hen for young pigs. Got 7 caught and put in. Then hoeing turnips.
Some of the narel clay starts have lost the turnips by the day continued drought, but some took unmarkably well and no the whole they haven good appearance.
=== 26. TUESDAY. [207-158] ===
Cool day, & cloudy, with slight drizzly showers wind north west. Those had been a light shown deeming the might so the turnips were freshened up quite a bit.
We were hoeing all day orw 2 are finished 36 drills to hoe. Got little figs all in hen to might. Cloudy still I hope it might rain. (Rest for the weary)

At G.G. meeting, Annie had 3 passengers along & 2 pigs for W. Ingils. Casrado Mills sold at $1 per head - $2. Annie Assrive with 4 octors train all night. Expesnes Borto & watch key $2 / 5.
Pleasant evening coming home.

Hoeing turnips till 11 oclock. Jas Corbett G. G. called with buggy and took me to see a Kirby Balphew working in barley field. He is agent would sell at 115. First payment 1883 with 3 suceeding payments. We have decided to hise W. Clavers scuffled & reaffled terrible till sun down there so to it home. Called on J. M Janis he will reach for us on Saturday.

Ground cradle blade and cut 20 stooks of 10 sheaves fall ahead & srad round barley, for nephew. Very warm. Evening had to take Sally to Cochrains started off at 1 & got back at 11. 8 Miles. Rather long evening walk.

Glad Foronts Reaphew cutting barley make very good work.
Got it all worked up by supper time. Heavy thunder shower passed poured south groudn here very dry.
