April, 1927. 1 Friday. Nasty cold east wind blowing. Sam Spies was here and they chopped this forenoon. They were sawing wood this afternoon and Noah Miller helped. 2 Saturday. Clear, cold & windy. Walter & Vernon took Princess 7th to Elmira today. He sold her to Hy. Hedrich for 6 cts. a lb. 3 Sunday. Cloudy & windy. We went to church & S. School this afternoon. Charles Miller and Walter Adler visited us this forenoon. 4 Monday. Cloudy & windy. Sam Spies was sawing wood here today. Walter Adler and Ezra Maurer helped. Bert came up with Ezra and they were here for dinner and supper. Callers - Mr. Cromar, Jos. Gingrich, Gordon Bonn and Eldon Wagner, Art and Joe Tutton.
