May, 1927. 25 Wednesday. Heavy showers this morning. Clear and windy p.m. Started to rain again tonight. Walter & Ella went to Kitchener today and had their dinner at Edith's. Walter went to choir practice tonight. 26 Thursday. Cloud, cold & drizzly. Walter shipped hogs this morning, had his dinner at Norman {Sniders?} and helped dig sewers at the parsonage this p.m. Ella did her ironing and varinshed the linoleum. 27 Friday. Clear, cool fine day. Frost last night. Grandpa Krauter came up this morning and Grandpa Maurer after dinner and they helped at the garage. Ella cleaned the kitchen. 28 Saturday. Fair and warmer. Grandpa Maurer came up here again this morning and they were working at the garage. Grandpa Krauter went home tonight. Ella sowed {everlasting, zinnias?}, gaillardias and Oriental mixture.
