16 Saturday. Sultry & threatening. The men were drawing manure.
17 Sunday. Showery. We went to church & S. School this morning and to Sim. Weaver's for supper, also called at Linc's.
18 Monday. Beautiful day. Ella did her washing, also Edna's and did some ironing. The men hauled manure all day and finished their field.
19 Tuesday. Perfect day. Walter cut some hay this morning and they were scuffling roots & corn the rest of the day. Ella hoed the garden.
20 Wednesday.Another perfect day. The men finished the scuffling and brought in 5 loads of hay this afternoon. Marjorie & Hilda Hoffman visited Ella today and were here for dinner.
21 Thursday. Fair. Heavy rain tonight. Walter shipped hogs this morning and they brought in 4 loads of hay this afternoon. Ella picked some strawberries in Schwindt's bush. Tonight we went up to Grandpa Krauter's and got some cherries. Ed's, Allen's & Aunt Barbara were there.
