July, 1927. 22 Friday. Drizzly & showery. The men plowed this morning. Walter went down to Grandpa's this evening and brought Allen, Marie and little Albert home with him. 23 Saturday. Rained practically all day. 24 Sunday. Cloudy, Walter & Vernon went to S.School and church this afternoon and Walter took Allen up to Grandpa Krauter's tonight. 25 Monday. Fair. Ella did her washing and picked berries in Schwindt's bush this p.m. Walter cut some grass this morning and they were plowwing stumps. 26 Tuesday. Sultry. This morning Vernon plowed and Walter was cutting grass. This afternoon they brought in 7 loads of hay. 27 Wednesday.` Sultry. Thunderstorm last night. Walter finished cutting this a.m. and VErnon plowed. This afternoon {Alice?} Reist helped and they brought in 7 loads of hay.
