September, 1927 8 Thursday. Lovely day. Ella came home from Elmira with Walter today. Vernon was drawing manure. Enoch & Irwin Schneider visited us tonight. 9 Friday. Fair. The men finished drawing out manure. 10 Saturday. Hot. Shower at noon. The men were gang plowing. 11 Sunday. Fine cool day. We went to church & S. School this a.m. Mr. & Mrs. Clayton Scheifele, Bruce & Glen were here for dinner. Mr. & Mrs. Addison Reist, Percy, Edgar, Alma, Vera & Adella Reist were here for supper. Mr. & Mrs. Oscar Schierholtz called after supper also Eph. Snyder's. 12 Monday. Beautiful day. Walter went to the Elmira Monthly Fair and got his fertilizer at Alma. Vernon were rolling & harrowing. Our company for tea - Mr. & Mrs. Jacob Maurer and Miss Clara Klemmer of Clifford, Ont and Lillian Maurer & Harry B. Williams of Detroit, Mich. 13 Tuesday. Lovely day. Walter got his wheat at Grandpa Maurer's and stayed for dinner. Our company for tea - Mrs. Arthur Cragg and Julia of Fergus, Ont.
