October, 1927 12 Wednesday. Showers all day. {name?} got soaked twice. Ella shelled beans 13 Thursday.Cold & showery. Ella finished shelling the beans. Walter shipped hogs. Vernon plowed all day. 14 Friday Cold & cloudy. The men plowed all day. Ella cleaned the cellar. 15 Saturday. Fine. Vernon helped to saw wood at Earl's this forenoon. We took up the potatoes today. Our company for tea - Mr. & Mrs. Frank Hamel, {Sonny?}, Betty & {name?} & Ray Jefferson and Mervin Smith of Kitchener. 16 Sunday. Cold & fine. We went to church & S.School this p.m. and went to grandpa Krauter's for supper. Vernon went to League Rally at Floradale with Irvin 17 Monday. Cold & clear. Ella did her washing. Walter cut the rest of the {flax?}. This pm. Vernon took a load of {flax?} to Floradale and Walter took grist. Ella dug her gladiolus and dahlia roots. 18 Tuesday. Fine. Walter took a load of flax to Floradale this a.m. Vernon plowed all day. Walter & Ella took Annie Schneider along the County S.S. {name?} we had our tea at Angus Weber's.
