November, 1927. 1 Tuesday. Warm summery day. Walter took chopping to Floradale and hides to Elmira. Some of our friends had a birthday party for Walter here tonight. Those here were - Mr. & Mrs. Norman Snider, Mr. & Mrs. Angus Weber, Mr. & Mrs. Oscar Schmidt, Mr. & Mrs. Harvey Schmidt Rhoda & Gladys Mr. & Mrs. Earl Miller, Mr. & Mrs. Otto Miller & Norman, Mr. & Mrs. Josiah Schmitt & Norma, Mr. & Ms. Sim Weaver, Philip & Alice Beisel, Alma Stewart, Israel, Ella, Angus Ivan, Clarence & Cecil Shoemaker. 2 Wednesday. Rain this morning. Cloudy & cold The men plowed. Walter went to choir practice at Alma with Charlie. 3 Thursday. Cold & windy. Walter shipped hogs. Vernon plowed all day. Walter went to Alma again tonight with Charlie. Sim & Rachel spent the evening here and helped make the sauerkraut. 4 Friday. Cold & windy. The men plowed. Walter & Charlie went to Alma again tonight. 5 Saturday. First snow on the ground this morning. The men plowed. 6 Sunday. Cold & stormy. Ella & Vernon went to Woolwich church with Enoch's. We went to Charles Halls at Alma with Charlie for tea and to the Alma Presbyterian Anniversary service tonight.
