Wed 17th.. July. Picking all A.M. Ironing all P.M. Mabel & I went down to lake to have a swim. Had a fine bath. Got home 9.30 Thur 18th. / 89 Picking all day. Maggie James & her little english girl here for dinner & tea came after berries. It very hot. Writing in this. Frid 19th.. Picking cherries. It looked like rain & did a little. M.W. canning fruit. Maria W. birthday. Sarah & Wolsley drove down in eve. Dave called & had some singing & then gave Wolsley some berries & D a piece of cherry pie. D walked all the way up to gate with lantern Talked . Sat 20th.. Rather cool picking rasps. Then cleaning floor & c. in P.M. Expect Manuel & Jane home to night on Blandina. I writing in this. Folks all went to boat but Mabel & I kept house. E.M. & Jane got home 9 Oclock. Sun 21st.. July. Nice day went to S.S. but didn't stay to church Had W.G. Walton & familly & E.M. & Jane all for dinner. None of them went to church. E.M. & Jane went over home for tea. Us all alone I tho't perhaps Philus would be down so sat in shanty & read till dark then Ida Mabel & I singing. Mon 22nd.. July / 89. Picking & so dull. Bertha & I picking to gether & I found out quite a lot of news from her. D. he at her place Sun eve. & she teasing me about Philus which I'm about sure D. told her then when she tho't I tho't D told her, she tryed to make me believe different. I didn't think he would tell so much confidential news. Tues 23rd.. Us picking all A.M. Bertha didn't come up in P.M. I waited for her & layed down & went to sleep at gate. Mr Sherdian came along for his beries so I got up & went & picked. M.L. & I went down to B. class only Mr K & us there. Wed 24th.. July. Washing all A.M. picking P.M. In eve went to P.O. saw D. & Bertha talking so walked pass, only said "Good evening." when came out of P.O. They walked on & B. I guess went nearly home with D. I called in to see Mrs Dorland to ask her if B. could come to pick didn't stay. Marlon & Ada Shaw took Ida for a drive. I talking to them
