22 {cont.} took dinner with us
23 Cold day. Snowed a little Cousins Donald & Mary were here today. I washed Jimies underwere sent Murdy $.800 The Dr. Called. We heard that the Hon. Thomas White died last night at Ottawa aged 58 years. or Saturday night.
24 Cold West wind. Got hme one load of straw, not many fish in the rappids .
25 Heard this morning that John McGillis. Eq. of Montreal died last night, will be buried here on Friday Lander brought me _ sugar and syrup Far & Jimie were fishing for perch And caught 1/2 doz. 10. P.M. Elder conducted the prayer Meeting.
26. Got a letter from Murdy. Butchered a calf. sold 1/4 to Mrs Williamson, 90 cts. Sold another hind to Jack Sullivan 16 lbs Sold 7 1/2 lbs to Nick Collet -35. And 7 1/2 to Mrs Grant (high Steps) Sent a letter to Murdy and $.600 6
27 Mr McGillis was buried today. body came to Landcaster last night. And left there 8 A.M. today The boys caught mecers last night.
28 Very hot today. Mercury 86, in the shade. At noon A. C. McDonell called to see if we would take a minister Mr Nelson who is to preach tomorrow
29 Hattie came last evening. And remained over night. Mr Nelson preached A.M. read Psalm 103. text Mark 16. 3. Evening service read Zechriah 13. chat 6 verse
30 Cold, rained a little in the morning, but not enough to spoil the roads which are very good. I made fire in the sitting room tonight. A Temperance meeting was announced for tonight. I went, there was so few present, that they gave up the notion and went home Far went for Murdy, to Lancaster but he did not come up tonight. 14.00 + 1.50 + 10.15 = 25.65

1 There was a pretty good meeting in the Hall today, and all present signed for to give a call to Mr Given, but Mrs McLaurin & {Vicoy?} Mr Nelson saw Mr Burnett, and told him to stay here until Saturday when he will go to Maxville. Murdy came to Lancaster last night. Your text here...
2 Mr Nelson went to tea at A.C. McDonells and came back in time to take charge of the prayer meeting
3 I have been very busy today Nelson went to visit Mrs McLaurin
4 Jimie went to plough on the village farm. Nelson took tea at J. Dingwall's R.R.
5 Nelson went off about 9. A.M. with D.D. McLennan to drive to Maxville It rained heavily last night and it only cleared up at About 8 A.M.
6. D. Ross, Hector's son preached today, read Hebrews 3 chapt 6 part of the 4th, text, Exodus 33 . 14. "My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest" No prayer meeting
7. Joe Defoe, rented the lower flat of Kintail house 3.50 pr Mon. I gave a gypsey woman on Saturday. 50 00 for six yds of lace I made a big washing Nelson returned from Maxville and Far went with him to Lancaster. Ran pruned three apple trees. Murdy dig one square in garden. Jimie ploughing Auntie sent me a Mulberry tree on Saturday and I planted it among the black currant bushes. Sold. 1 bush potatoes to D. Fergusson 50 50
8 Fine day. We planted a few potatoes. 2 rows. 1/4 of seedlings by the road, then a mixture of 3 rows. sold 10 bush of provender to Bentley. 1/2 bush potatoes W Laroque 15. Got Bird a pair of Kid boots at Willie's 3.25 Murdy had a letter from Annie McDonell. Far & Bird went to the Gore. this evening. 43. 3-25
9 Prayer Meeting. Rev. Leitch of Valleyfield preached.
10. Womens Meeting at J.A.'s. 9 member present 11. with Mrs McDonell's Lilly. Rev. Matheson brought A minister to our home, who is going to preach here Sundy. Pa sent him off. I gave 25 cts to the fund. today, had a post card from Far who went for Quebec 25 4.45
