5 Looks like rain. We sent our things to the fair. Collection of house plants, in bloom Phlox, pansies, fan boquet, vase boquet, Collection of roots for feeding, and sugar purposes carrots. W.O. beets long & short parsnips Mangold Goldon T. & Globe, tomatoes {bread?} To 4 lb sausages 49. 7 1/2 roast 8.60 30 gran sugar 1.50 1.00
6 Lovely day. cool & bright. fine could not have been, I did not get to the fair until 15 to 5. Allan McL. & wife and baby were here. I remained at home and Kept the baby.
7 We got some prizes at the fair. I was at D. R. M. L. today, got some crab apples
8 Duncan McLellan. S.B. {South Branch} was buried today he died of injuries received in falling off a mow in the barn aged 74. To 1 lb tea 31, 4 lb steak 40 31 40
