14 The Fair began here this morning we sent oats barley buckwheat Mangolds beets carrots, red & white got of prizes 1st Mangolds 2d beets 2d barley 2d buckwheat. Bot 10 lbs beef 80
15 Tuesday 2d day of Fair. Very fine, we were all at the fair. A very fine show of horse and cattle. I never saw finer sheep in Glengarry Annie McDonell Montreal was up There was gray frost last night
16 Murdy & J.C Brown went to Cornwall J.C. came home but Murdy remained with D.R. Brown Got 1 gall coal oil at Willie's, tick. 2 loaves at Dunlops. got 4 last night = 38. Pa & Jimie put in some of the buckwheat. had Pigon with them
17 I went to see Peggy. Pa boys & Pigon at buck.
18 Done a large washing. Quite a storm of wind and rain at noon .
19 Got a letter from Sandy amd one from Farqu. Young Angus (Register) was buried here on Thursday 17th. Jimie C. Brown went a checque for $400. four hundred dollars to Mrs John Clark, his uncles wife Hatty came to day over night. Jimie was fixing
