Cool and cloudy rain and snow during the day heavy rain in the evening wind south west. Logging. Friday 12th Morning cool and cloudy rain in the evening. Underbrushing. Received a letter from Father 1/2d. Fred down the beach in the morning. Cow & oxen went off but did not return. Saturday 13th Snowing and blowing from the north. very cold. Sow Breaming fetched Fullers Hog. Shelling corn. Fred went to Mouth. A letter [[Jon? Tom?]] [[Soynes?]] 10 d 3 Milk pans 5.7 1/2 d. Spent 2 d. [[?Posten?]] News to [[?Thede?]] Wilson. And letter to G Leeds. Cutting fire wood. Phil fetched oxen home from Parishes. Grind my corn. Sunday 14th. Extremely cold snow in the evening. Monday 15th Cold and dull. Drawing home swedes 2 bag fulls and to tubfuls. drew home two sleigh loads of corn stalkes. carried Idens 2 Kettles home. Fred went to Turners and Tailors. Phil chopping. Rob and me after flour to Kennedys 111 lb at 71/2 per barrel candle moulds 2 shillings Shirt Father got total 1.7.2 1/2 paid. Tuesday 16th. Mild and pleasant. Me and J Goble began to get out stuff for sleigh. Took Fullers Hog home. Chopping. Wednesday 17th. Fine and thawing. Getting out stuff for sleigh in morning raising school house in afternoon. Boys chopping.
