Went to shells to clean some wheat for Mill about 9 1/2 bushels. Went to see Wrights cow, got half a bushel of pease from Turner for which he is to have the same measure of corn. Father Robert and Fred chopping Robert got three tubs and three bags full of sweeds into the cellar. Tuesday 20th. Storming from the south west. Shelled 1/2 bushel of Corn for Turner. Wednesday 21st. Morning dull and cold afternoon fine with cold. Father and Phill went to Frasers Mill. Let Father have 2 dollars and 31/2 d. Went to look a cow on 2 concession: Balanced accounts with James Stuart. Due me for 3 bushels of potatoes 7.6 d. Balance of money due me when he borrowed 5 Dollars 1/4. Due him for fish 9. 1/2 d. Balancing due me £ 1.4.71/2 d. from Iden Goble 2 white fish 1.3 d. Robert and Fred getting fire wood and chopping. Thursday 22nd. Morning very cold sunshine during the day. Fitting pigsty and getting fire wood Friday 23rd. Storming thawing, fine in the afternoon. Chinking a shed cutting fire wood, chopping. Received 3 Follars from Stuart. Saturday 24th. Very cold wind west north. Father came home late last night from mill leaving the sleigh at Shells of Bruce. Went for sleigh this morning. Flour from our own wheat 3 bags fine shorts corse ditto and bran 2 Barrels on account of wages for one month.
