Sunday 29th Warm, a Thunder storm last night and during early morning. Monday 30th. Morning fine and Warm afternoon raining. Rosa of a bull calf last nigh. Logging up fragments in the morning. 71/2 due Iden for mending Phils boot. May Tuesday 1st. Fine and warm. Father Fred and Phil pulling and drawing home sweeds. Robert cutting toggles for fence. In afternoon Father after log heaps Robert staking fence Fred and Phil clearing away straw and other materials from where the [[stack?]] stood. Self went to take [[Ret'd ministers [[?]] of office?]] in afternoon split and put in a piece of fence near the road on the bank. Planted some sweedish turnip for seed. An Eclipse tonight of the moon. total. Wednesday 2nd. Fine and warm. Father me and Phil helping Stuart to put in boundry fence. Robert and Fred getting stakes out of the swamp, leveling [[mounds?]] of turnips in clearing preparatory to the sowing of grain. Thursday 3rd Warm and pleasant. Father Phil and me helping Stuart to put in fence, finished in the afternoon. Robert and Fred levelling knowls of earth. Phil drew some [[?]] or stakes after the fence was finished. John Goble had 11/2 bushel of wheat, not Pd. Friday 4th. Fine with north wind which made it pleasant working. Logging. Sowed some chickory seed. Uncle Iden had 1 bushel of wheat. Burnt some brush last night. Saturday 5th. Fine and cool in the morning. warm during the day. logging. John Goble butchered the calf and pigs. Sunday 6th. Dull and cool much ice on the lake.
