Frost last night. hunting cattle in the forenoon odd jobs putting up boundry fence between Stuart and me, Donald Stuarts brother helping. Sowed some Rhubarb. Sunday 27th. Frost last night very severe. cool all day. Monday 28th. Fine and warm no frost. logging, sowed some millet, and some glory of England pease. Tuesday 29th. Fine and warming must be Indian Summer. logging, Planted Bull Pease. One dozen herrings from Uncle Iden N.P. Cow beauty. went to bush. Wednesday 30th Fine but very smoky same as yesterday. Logging. Thursday 31st. Mild and showers rain towards night. Loging. planted sugar beet. June Friday 1st. rain in the afternoon. The wind North and cool. Planted some sugar beet. Levelling. cut a little firewood. Saturday 2nd. From this date to the 9th we had of Iden Goble 2 dozen and 9 herrings at one penny a herring. Sunday 3rd Monday 4th. Tuesday 5th. Wednesday 6th. Thursday 7th. Friday 8th. Saturday 9th. Borrowed 37 lbs of flour of John Goble also 60 lbs of oats for which he is to have the same weight in oats after harvest. Sunday 10th. Monday 11th. Very cold for time of year. planting corn begun on the Friday. Tuesday 12th. planting potatoe. cool.
