Wednesday 13th Planting potatoes. Phil over at Salters with cattle in the morning., drawing barn logs in the afternoon. Mild and Pleasant. Carried my wheat about 10 bushels to Iden's on Monday expecting to start for Frasers Mill at night but have not been able to get off for contrary winds.
Thursday 14th. Fine and Mild. Robert to Staffords raising planting potatoes. 1/2 Dozen herrings from Idens 6 d. Started for Mill in boat with a grist in company of J. Goble. Robert Craig, and James Stuart. 11 bushels. forced to take it to Port Albert all the mills on this side of it being short of water.

Tuesday 19th Wednesday 20th Arrived home. Since I left they have finished potatoes and commenced underbrushing on Idens place, cut some rail lengths etc. Spent ont the voyage 3.11/2d. From the village store goods by Fred 4.41/2 d.
Thursday 21. Moist and warm. Made one handle. underbrushing. From Elgin 141/4 of pork and 71/2 lb 8.11d. 1/2 for paper 11/2 etc.
Friday 22 Fine and warm James Stuart helping me to make shingles. underbrushing, drawing, barn logs clearing up round the house.
Saturday 23rd. Hot splitting rails underbrushing, planting and clearing round the house. Fred went to Elgin Port. 29 lbs 16.3 d. 1.111/2 d.
Sunday 24. Dull but plesant.
Monday 25. Warm. Put a fire into chopping burn pretty well.

Thursday 28th The last two days fixing for foundation for barn.
Friday 29th Raised the foundation for barn.
Saturday 30 After Hands Butting barn logs. Fred and Mother went to Store.
