Geo. intended going home to-night on 5:30 train but a very heavy thunder storm prevented him. Maria came down on that train and waited at Bronte station till after rain then walked home through the mud. She bot our summer dresses of ecru nun's vailing but left her parcels at station. Maggie McCauley & Miss Sarah Bouncell called this evening. Tues 19th. More heavy showers to-day. Maria L. and Geo go over to Mandy's and get caught in rain. Geo & E.M. were out shooting in forenoon & went to Bray's for dinner. W. G. & another man come down from Hamilton for dinner. Maria drove Ge. to station. Parting salute to Nettie from him was "No harm to kiss your brother, the other girls did." Wonder if he means he will be our brother or not!?
