Wed. 4th. Emma & children went home in morning. I taught school as usual with expectation of holidays soon. Rained to-day. Very warm.
Thurs. 5th. Strawberry picking at home, in A.M. but raining in P.M. I gave Ada her 9th music lesson. Raining so stayed for tea. Sarah came down and met Maggie, Delia & I, as they were coming a piece with me, at the P.O. We turned round &went down to see boat & got into her. Came home but too late to get my dress fitted on.
Fri. 6th. Taught School till noon. Edith came over at recess stayed till noon. She got a letter from John who has left The Persia & intends to ship from Cleveland with Will, Carpenter & Alex Henderson.
I picked berries in afternoon till a shower came & stopped us about 5 o'clock.
Sat. 7th. Packing berries all morning. Helped Maria by sewing lace on my dress in afternoon but we did not finish dress as
