Monday Oct. 18th.
Dull in Morning but ice & Sun came out in the afternoon. Winnie Ferguson came home for Thanksgiving. Dorothy and I went over in the Morning to see her but found she and Mrs. Ferguson were away (likely at Smellie's) Wrote to Sybil Bennett (for Mrs. McGregor) Nell and Mary McCaul, Miss McEachran. Worked in the garden for an hour planting bulbs by the ice house. Called at Ferguson's again. Still away. Called at Green's. Mrs. Green out. Dorothy and I went to the train and saw Winnie Ferguson for a few minutes. Mr. M.A. Halliday at the station with his Ford Coupe. Took Dorothy and me for a ride out in the country and twice around race track at the Park. Charles phoned that he had to go back to Toronto (from Hamilton) to-morrow and would not get home until to-morrow night. Dorothy went down to Mair's to play
