Tuesday Nov. 2nd.
Raining hard all afternoon morning & all night. Cleared up in the afternoon. Worked at My tray cloth. Went down to Miss Milne's in the afternoon to get My black dress, re-faced & shorterned. Called on Mrs. Leitch. Played piano for Charles in the evening. Charles not feeling right yet, neither am I.
Wednesday Nov. 3rd.
Grey fall day. Ripped out the skirt (half) I had knitted for Dorothy to make dress for Isabel or Frances. Worked at my tray cloth. Went up to Mother's to see Alice about knitted dress. Then came up home and went down town to get Chintz for bamboo Stand Curtains (to send to Dorothy). Coming home met Mrs. Rogers and made her walk up to Clarke's corner with me and, as she was going down town, I went with her to Liebeck's. When I got home I found I had forgotten to get post office order cashed so went back. Met Mrs. Rogers at the top of the hill and made her go with me. After tea wrote to Clare and to
