Went down for the Mail and Shovelled the walk when I came home. Report that Mr. Green dropped dead. Charles phoned Walkerton. He tried to commit suicide by opening an artery (supposedly with his finger nauls). Mr. McKechninie thought he was dead when he found him lying in a pool of blood. Mr. Green says he fell against the radiator. Which story is which is to be told. In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Bell called. Knit at dress. Thursday Nov. 18th. Charles not feeling so brisk this Morning but his temperature is normal.
