copy of "Chronicles of a Sea Gull." Charles was at office an hour in the Morning and two in the afternoon. Went to the practise at the S.S. Duncan was here for tea. Awfully tired to-night. Wrote Christmas letters to Clare, to Len Carter, Miss Small, Miss Pearce and Mrs. Engel. Duncan & Dorothy played Two-handed bridge all evening. Tuesday Dec. 28th. Cold and snowy. Did 2 affidavits for Charles and took them down to the office and worked there until noon. Did a letter for him after dinner. Went to the afternoon train to see Nell and Doug off. Margaret went with them for her first visit to Toronto. Dorothy had a tea and I came home to pour the tea. After tea went to S.S. practise and Doug. Nickle arrived on late train, Dorothy going to meet him. Went to store in the morning for curtains for hospital.
