after dinner. Did some short-hand. Duncan was up as usual & we played Seven up. Saturday Feb. 5th. Fine mild day. Took some letters. Went down for meat & got some more letters. Wrote them. Charles went to Mr. Cassel's funeral after dinner. (Expected Mr. Tuer for dinner as Mrs. Tuer away but he could not come.) I took Charles' Brief bag down for {him?} and got the Mail. Mrs. Ryan's husband sentenced to 18 months at Burwash. Later in the afternoon I went down to Public Library for a book. Charles went out for a walk in the evening. Harold Garner was here in the evening getting some help with an essay on "The League of Nations." Wrote to Dorothy. Sunday Feb. 6th. Had a horrid sore throat all night & a wretched cold this Morning. Just thought I was free of the one I had had for 3 months? Went to Church in the Morning
