Cold Moderated some. Lovely out. Went downtown for Meat and Mrs Robt. Halliday (Who didn't go away after all) came into office and I walked up to M.A.'s with her and went on around the block to enjoy the nice day. Tidied up Dorothy's room and put away masquerade clothes, etc. Went up to see Mother and called to see Mrs. Clarke. Was on my way to Mrs. Fergusons's to ask them over for tea when met Mrs. Ferguson & Winnie at the Town Hall. Went down town with them and got home at 6 p.m. Charles went to the prayer meeting. January 7. (Wednesday)
Quite mild Snowing but almost rain. Wrote to Nell, Dug, Mrs Luton and Dorothy Luton. Shovelled snow for an hour and a half. After dinner finished the path. Mrs. Ferguson and Winnie came over for tea. Went home about 9 o'clock as Winnie had her trunk to pack to go to the station to-night. She leaves on the early train. Started my short Hand contractions again.
