Came home. I started my typing. Worked until tea time. Read part of The Globe and then finished my work (21 pages) at 11.30 p.m. Great excitement over the fact that the U.F.O. are trying to buy a building for the purpose of opening a store. Tried to buy the office block. Word arrived to-day that Waller Purdy had died (gas) in Toronto. Slept inside.
January 21 (Wednesday)
Cold bright day - beautiful. practised an hour and tidied up library. Charlie's birthday. Went down town to get Receipt for World's Work for birthday gift. Got it, put it in my pocket. Also got a couple of books and a box of Chocolates for Mrs. Ryan to give Charles. Got home and found I had lost my receipt. Wrote a note. When Charles got it he produced my receipt having found it on the road in front of Mrs. Roger's. Wrote Charlie's little Sketch of the collection of $116 for Armenian Fund by telephone. Took it down to him And took my Music lesson. Mrs. McNeel
