dinner I wrote two more letters for Charles. Made him some sandwiches to take with him on afternoon train to Walkerton. He expects to want them after the banquet and Mass Meeting are over. Took the letters to the office and then called on Mrs. Leslie, who seems to be much worse and has to be moved around considerably. Alice was calling there at the same time. Also called to say good bye to Mrs. D. G. Scott who leaves on Wednesday for Montreal. Mr. Scott is manager in a Branch of the Merchant Bank near there. She was not in but we met her in the street and said good bye to her. Practised an hour. Counted the words in Dorothy's story "And in Conclusion". Practised a couple of Recitations for the Young People's Meeting. Debate- Resolved that the Senate of Canada should be Abolished. Very good. Negative win. Affirmative. W.P. Krug & Harry Krug Negative Mrs. Davey and Miss Evans. I recited "The Mystified Quaker in New York" and "The Faithful Lovers."
