1920. practised an hour and a half. Wrote to Clare. After dinner went over to see Ferna who leaves to-morrow morning for Guelph to see Alma and then on to Toronto and Montreal. (She expects to see Dorothy in Toronto). Then went down town - got a box of candy for Charlie's birthday and some tea and soup for Mrs. McGregor. Went up to Mother's where I left the box for Charlie on the supper table. Visited Mother & called to see Mrs. McGregor who is better and says she will be up on Monday. Duncan came up after tea to see "Life." Then Charles, Duncan and I played seven-up. Duncan who was in debt for toothpicks refused to go home until he had gained up and had 7 to the good. 22° below zero at 7.a.m. Slept inside. February 20 (Friday) Worked all Morning for Charles. Duncan was up for a little While. Went down town, met Miss Brownlee & Mrs. Tuer and walked around with them to Mrs. Oliver's to get Miss Brownlee's fancy work as she was
