Some men came to the house on business and I had to write a letter for Charles. Very cold day and a blizzard started in afternoon. Very cold night. Will Sleep inside. Did some French & Short-hand. February 27 (Friday) Was kept busy with office work until 2 o'clock. Charles was not feeling very well (stomach out) so he did not go to the office in the afternoon. Had another letter to write for him. Got him hot water bottle etc. and about five o'clock he began to feel better, I spent an hour shovelling the walk and side walk. Cold day. Went down to the office with letters I had written & got the Globe and the Mail from the office. Practised an hour in the evening. Wrote to Dorothy. Duncan came up about 8 o'clock & read The Literary Digest. Slept inside.
