day but still cold wind. Went down to the office after dinner to bring up a jar of cream which Will Peterson brought in for us and which Charles forgot to bring up at noon. Then went down again to get some material for cushion tops and arranged and cut them. Practised an hour. Alice and Margaret came up with some carrots and got a parcel to take back with them. They stayed for quite a little chat. March 21st. Sunday. Went to church twice & to S.S. Beautiful day. Charles was feeling very tired so did not go to church at night. S.S. Teachers' Meeting after s.s. which did not get out until half past four. Mr. M.A. Halliday gave in his resignation as superintendent not accepted but is to "be let out on bail" until September. As we are short about 4 teachers now it seems hard to see where the workers are to come from. Charlie and Alice came up after church. They had walked out to {Lowe's?} Mrs. Lowe is dead. to be buried Monday.
