April 5th (Monday) Did the entries for Charles. Went down town for meat. Lots of snow. Had to shovel it as the broom was not heavy enough. Fixed up my parcel for Blanche Gillies. Dorothy and Douglas went down town for a few minutes. Ida Halladay and Ethel Read are to come up to play Bridge. Regular snow storm this afternoon getting colder at night. Got tea waggon ready for Dorothy. April 6th. Tuesday Tank was empty in the bath-room. Charles turned on the hard water and then could not turn it off. Went over to McCannel's house to get Mr. McCannel but found he had gone to the store. Got him by phone and he came up and discovered that Charles had just been turning the tap the wrong way. The large tank was not empty but something had gone wrong with the ball. Mr. McCannel fixed it and I had several trips to the attic to see that valve worked properly when the tank was full.
