May 17th Monday.
Mrs. McGregor ill so she did not come after saying she would be here which made Mrs. Ryan late with the washing. Went down town for meat in the morning. Clarice, Victor and Douglas Caldwell were here for dinner as their father over in Walkerton for Mrs. Caldwell's operation. Real spring day but looks like rain. Mr. McConnel came up this morning and put the new tank in the attic. Hunted up some clothes for Mr. Moss. Went down town in the afternoon. After tea Mr. Robt. Oswald and Mr. Wm. English called for Forward Movement cards. Went to Young People's Meeting to see the Mission Band's little play.
May 18th. Tuesday.
Charles and Mr. Andrew Young went off at 9 a.m. to canvass their district. I went down town with my s.s. collection in the morning and took my hat to Miss {Tom's?}. Charles had dinner at Mr. John Oswald's and phoned for me to get Mr. W. T. Ross' cards and those of Mr. S. M. Ewart. Went down for them in the afternoon for them.
