Sunday June 6th. Much warmer to-day. Went to church in the morning and to S.S. Mother came up after church and stayed until after S.S. As Charlie broke the back axle of his car yesterday he could not come for her so I walked up to the Baptist Church with her. Getting very warm. Mrs. Ryan went to Paisley in car (Barnes Bowie, Ruby Robinson & Tom) so had to get my own tea. Wrote to Charles to send Dorothy's poems and to Mrs. Caldwell, Walkerton Hospital. Went down to post office with them. Watered the lawn which was very brown and did not go to church. Charlie, Alice sr. and Duncan were up after church and Mr. Caldwell came up to get a book. Charles telephoned from Hamilton that his foot was worse than he expected and he could not get around and so would be home to-morrow night. Monday June 7th. Went down at 7 o'clock and turned on the spray. Went down town for meat.
