June 11th. Friday Tired and lazy to-day. Did a letter for Charles. Duncan was up. Went down town in the afternoon and called to see Mrs. McGregor and then went on to call on Mother. Mr. Copeland (the prospective Principal for High School who came up to look over the ground before accepting the position) called at the house in the evening. Went over to Black's to return some books. Miss Blue called to enquire how Charles' foot was, Ruby Robinson to see Mrs. Ryan. Mr. Caldwell to see Charles, Miss Helen Smellie to get her glasses. Charles feeling more rested to-day. (Mr. Beattie still driving him up and down) Wrote to Miss McEachran. Practised about an hour. June 12th. Saturday Awake a good part of last night with sore throat. {lungs?} to-day. Mended my Corsets. Went down town for meat. After dinner returned some books to Library. (Before dinner typed an account for Charles) and went down to Dr. Rannie's. Felt wretched. Had temperature & good
