June 18th. Friday. Rained considerably in the night. Cold and raining until noon. Went to the office. Called at Lustig to pay for meat and Christie's to pay for bread. Went back early at noon to do some of Mr. Caldwell's work. Mother came up in the evening with some ceneilat {celandine?} poppies. Then Duncan arrived. I planted the poppies and walked up to the gate with Mother then called at Caldwell's and bathed Mrs. C's back and fixed her up. Still cool but somewhat warmer. June 19th. Saturday. {Music?} exam (Theory) at the Manse to-day. Got tables ready and papers out etc. Then left Dorothy to preside and went to the office. Did a great deal of work - no idle moment. Bought a dress for Isabel's birthday which was yesterday. Dorothy went to the show with Mar. McDonald. Went down to Mrs. Caldwell's and called at Tuer's to enquire for Mrs. Rae. Miss Annie Milne very poorly. Washed vest. Did some shopping for Dorothy. Mr McNaughton and Mr. Black called in evening. Nice day. Not too Hot. Finished typing play for Blanche G.
