for an hour and I made him a cup of tea. Went down town afterwards. Went to Mrs Caldwell's twice to-day. Quite cool in the evening. Mother & Duncan up in the evening. Dorothy & Doug not coming home till Sunday night. Sunday July 4th. Went to church twice & to S.S. Charles went to church in the morning. Communion Sunday. Walked down. Went to Mrs. Caldwell's before church in the Morning and after church at night. Dorothy & Doug got home about 9 o'clock. Charlie, Alice and Duncan came up after church at night. Had a fire in the fire place after tea, very cool. Monday July 5th. Went down for meat & just got home when I had to go to the dressmakers. Took a bath in the afternoon (usually take it at night) as there was a fire in the kitchen & plenty of hot water. Went down town. Dorothy & Douglas playing tennis.
