Mr. Jas. Smellie's address. Put new yoke on Dorothy's yellow silk gown. Went down town in the morning. Went down again in the afternoon to do some shopping. Called at Tuers on way back to see if Mr. Tuer could play tennis. Took the air bed over to Miss Milne's. Dorothy, Mr. Caldwell, Florence Leslie and a Mr. Jno. Milne played tennis. Went down town at night to get some chocolates to send Clare for her birthday, some bathing caps, etc. sewed button on Dot's rain coat, finished her night gown and repaired her sweater yoke and got this written in at 12.15 p.m. (Called a Mrs. M.A. Halliday's in the afternoon).
Sunday July 18th.
Rained hard from 4 a.m. until about 10 a.m. Charles, Dorothy and I went to church. Charlie, Frances & Dorothy started for Oliphant about 1.30. Some scurrying to get Dot ready - hunt up boat flags, write note to Clare to send with chocolates as birthday greeting. Mother came up with Charlie. I went to S.S. & after S.S.
