telephone Charles to bring deed forms for Mr. Moore. Told me Mr. Green had shot Bert Cavil this morning. Finished embroidering my doily which I worked at yesterday also. Jack & Duncan busy fitting window sashes. Played Bridge in the evening. Jack and I against Nell and Duncan. Wrote to Frank. Started centre piece. Friday July 30th. Rained in the Morning - cool day. Put putty on some window frames. Kept at it all afternoon until about four o'clock when I went up and cleaned up the shavings out of my room where Jack had been fitting sashes. Charles got back with Charlie about 2 o'clock. Continued putty work until dark. Worked at my new centre piece in evening. Saturday July 31st. Wrote to Mrs. Green and to Stan. Fresh air Fund enclosing cheque for $9.05 collected by Doug. Lizzie Salt and her brother arri ved in car with Jim Hetherington and another boy.
