Went down town for her mail and her shoe. Took them back. Then went to Mrs. Beattie's with a message & finding she had a sore heel came home and got rubber inheels for her & took them over. Went to late train to meet Winnie Ferguson. Train 40 Minutes late. Sunday July 3rd. Hot as ever & no sign of rain. Went to church & called to see Mrs. Ferguson after church. Found her somewhat better. Went to S.S. Did not go to church at night. Mr. M.A. came over. Did some watering to cool off the front. Alice did not come up as Charlie away & walk long & hot. Dorothy got home about 10 p.m. Spent evening trying to keep cool.
