Salter cutting pease yesterday and today M 20th. Salter finished cutting pease. Fred chopping Agreed with James Davidson to pay him 75 cts whilst working in the harvest and 50 cents per day when working at other work. James Davidson one day raking and binding. Cut fifty six stooks of wheat. Agreed to pay Joseph Forthey 21/4 Dolrs. for a Jack and edging plane. Lent 28 and 9 lbs of Salt with the bag to Joseph Fortney. T. 21st. James Davidson working at raking & binding. Finished this forenoon cutting fall wheat in Philips lower field cut nineteen stooks. Commenced cutting spring wheat in the corner between Craig & John Gobles line cut 37 stooks. Mr. Joseph Shell ordered 14 bushels of fall wheat for seed. Fred chopping. Davidsons calf in pasture.
