== OCTOBER FRIDAY 6 1876 == Go down to City at 9, call at TP&Co, suit 2 Curriers over, Heavy lea {leather} on 90 over in Southern Belle. Capt Dick walks down with me to Belle, meet Patterson on board, have talk in Cabin. Old Patterson on board, anxious to have me go to Buffalo with him meet Curriers on board == OCTOBER SATURDAY 7 1876 == Go to Tannery at 7½. 3 Curriers begin work. Geo Scius begins scouring with them, no work in {Brum?} House for him. I go to dinner at 12. Stop in at GA Clements & get some Royal Butters,. Kirby & Gral comes in. I remain quite awhile. Call at Dave McMillans buy & pay for groceries. Call at Woodingtons & A Daveys, meet James Wiley in McMillans Store & he returns me my note of $75, given for Life Insurance, not having it at time I paid same. Dont feel well after getting home. Give Ada $10. Get Stove this A.M. for Hugh's room. "call at Webbers"
