=== WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1, 1870. === I have had Charly ploughing to day or rather this afternoon and this forenoon he finished rooling the barley ground. I took my sister home to night after tea. When I meet with grief of the parents on the tombstones, my heart melts with compassion. When I see the tombs of parents themselves, I consider the vanity of grieving for those whom we must {illegible] === THURSDAY, JUNE 2, 1870. === Charly has been ploughing again to day and got it nearly done. The ground has become very hard and dry. This afternoon we have been blessed with a little sprinkle of rain. Our folks are cleaning house now and I will be glad when they get done with it. The Conference at {illegible} is now in Session and from the reports they are having a Glorious time. The delegates from the {illegible} Church are the Dr. Lowry{?} & Dr. Lindsay {illegible} England {illegible} Jarvis Guild{?}.
